RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Coordinate and implement creative program activities and events for adults with histories of homeless, mentally illness, and substance use in supportive housing setting.
- Participate on team to assess tenant needs and develop appropriate clinical support services.
- Liaise with social services staff to meet social, psychological, educational and vocational needs of tenants through individual and group activities.
- Develop program activities to enhance the overall community life of tenants.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Master’s Degree in recreation / rehabilitation or related field.
- Sensitivity to issues such as homelessness, mental illness and substance use.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to be creative working both independently as well as on diverse teams.
- Ability to escort tenants in the community.
- Ability to work flexible schedule.
- Bi-lingual Spanish a plus.
