RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Enroll WIC participants, conduct nutritional assessments and determine Participant eligibility.
  • Provide participant centered nutrition education (individual / group) sessions, especially high risk participants whose nutrition or health concerns require an advanced level of nutrition expertise. Implement individual care plans.
  • Prescribe, tailor, authorize, issue and reissue food packages.
  • Assist the Senior Nutritionist in implementing the Nutrition Services Management Plan (NSMP).
  • Act as a resource person for information and nutrition issues.
  • Flexible work schedule (early morning, evenings and weekends).
  • Provide site coverage as necessary.
  • Participate in state, regional and local trainings.
  • Maintain continuing education credits.

QUALIFICATIONS:

MA or BA / BS Nutrition.
Registered Dietician, or, one year WIC experience.
Computer Skills (WICSIS and Microsoft office).
