RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Oversee the daily operations of the DePaul Head Start program.
- Supervise all functional areas of the program to ensure quality early childhood services to children and families.
- Providing technical assistance to staff to help create and maintain a learning environment that promotes children’s physical, emotional, social, cognitive and creative development.
- Establishing positive relationships with parents / communities to encourage parents and community involvement.
- Hold staff accountable for providing quality services to children and their families.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- MA – Early Childhood Education, NYS Certification (N-6); Montessori Certification or commitment to complete Agency’s Montessori two years training program.
- Minimum three years of teaching experience in pre-school setting – Head Start and / or Child Care.
- Supervisory experience.
- Excellent communicator, able to display initiative and creativity; a team player.
